SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Dozens of first responders were sent to Regency Tower Apartments on James Street late early Tuesday for a fire on the 10th floor.
According to Syracuse Fire Chief Michael Monds, crews were called to the scene just before 1 a.m. A fire was quickly identified on the 10th floor, with flames going outside the building onto a balcony.
Firefighters worked their way up to the 10th floor, working through heavy smoke to extinguish the fire. Tenants near the apartment were the fire occurred were evacuated, while others were told to shelter in place…
