First Alert Summary:
Temperatures will soar into the upper 90s with feels-like temps as high as 105 to 108. Areas most likely to see the higher end of this range are under a Heat Advisory issued by the National Weather Service.
Continued humid conditions will lead to feels-like triple digit temps around lunchtime.
While there’s a slight chance for an isolated storm this afternoon with the heating of the day, better chances arrive courtesy of a passing front later tonight.
The best storm chances lie around Columbia and points northward. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a “slight risk” or level 2 out of 5 for the northern half of the viewing area.
Wednesday is drier with the cold front passing in the early morning. Look for highs in the mid 90s Wednesday with partly cloudy skies. As drier air continues to move in behind the front, we’ll experience a noticeable drop in humidity levels Thursday and Friday.
