GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Alachua County Recycles reported two fires in one day caused by batteries thrown in with household trash late last week.
Officials said a loading operator at the recycling facility noticed smoke and found several lithium-ion batteries on fire, according to a post on ACR’s Facebook page.
