The rumors written on social media throughout the last week are all but carved in stone: Both O’Brien’s Market locations in Modesto are closing.
Two WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notices published by the California Employment Development Department dated July 27 describe a permanent closure of the Roseburg Avenue and Dale Road stores effective Sept. 26 and Sept. 27, respectively. The closure affects 117 employees between both stores, according to the notice.
