CLEARWATER, Fla. — The City of Clearwater will host a series of back-to-school events across local recreation centers and library branches starting July 31 ahead of the Pinellas County school year kick-off on Aug. 11.
The festivities begin on July 31 with two community events. The Ross Norton Recreation Center, located at 1426 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., will hold its annual Back-2-School Backpack Giveaway from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., offering free backpacks and supplies for the 2026-27 school year.
That same afternoon, the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road will host a Welcome Back Pool Party from 3 to 6:45 p.m. to celebrate the reopening of its pool. The event includes snow cones, games, free life jackets while supplies last, and water safety information from local organizations…
