SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — The WIC program has been providing proper nutrition in the region for nearly 50 years. Due to rising enrollment, the state’s health commissioner, James McDonald, M.D., stopped by Syracuse to highlight the downtown clinic’s success.
The need for food never ceases; as McDonald pointed out, over one in four New York State residents struggles with food insecurity.
