JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Today: Our First Alert Weather Days continue as temperatures climb to the upper 90s with potential of reaching 100 degrees for the first time this year. Heat indices will be above 110 degrees for a majority of the afternoon, so make sure to stay hydrated! We stay muggy overnight with lows in the mid 70s.
Late week: The second half of the week may see some slight relief as high pressure weakens overhead, allowing for our next system to move through and bring us isolated showers.
