MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – UPDATE: The Madera Police Department has updated that the train has moved and all intersections are open.
A train is stopped and is blocking traffic at several intersections in Madera Tuesday evening, according to the Madera Police Department.
Officials say a Union Pacific train is stopped and impeding traffic because of mechanical issues. The 6th Street and Gateway Drive intersections are still open, according to the department.
Try to find an alternative route if the train is blocking an intersection you need to go down, because although the issue is being worked on, there is no timeline available for when the blocked intersections will open up…
