Longtime Onondaga County DA who said he wouldn’t run again leans toward another campaign

Syracuse, N.Y. ― When Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick was reelected for his ninth term in 2023, he said it was his “last hurrah.”

Now, with just over a year before his seat is up again, he has changed his mind and is leaning toward running for a 10th term.

He has yet to make a final decision on whether to launch another campaign, he said in an interview with syracuse.com | The Post-Standard. He has been DA for 35 years…
