WEST PALM BEACH, FL — Investigators in Palm Beach County say a gang known as Nawf Way, also called The Sharks, grew from a small Belle Glade neighborhood group into a violent criminal organization. Twenty suspected members are now behind bars after a months-long probe tied the group to shootings, armed robberies and drug trafficking.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the arrests were part of an effort to dismantle the gang and cut off its supply of guns and narcotics.
How It Grew
Capt. Michael Ott said the group started as a smaller gang previously known as Fourway before expanding into a larger organization. Authorities said detectives reviewed cases from 2020 through 2025 and connected the group to more than 50 documented members and associates.
Ott said the investigation linked the gang to 62 shootings, homicides or attempted homicides, along with dozens of other firearms-related cases.
