BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A recent knee replacement surgery highlights a growing trend among Baby Boomers, who comprise 40% of all knee and hip replacement patients.
Louisiana First News Anchor Andre Moreau, a patient who underwent knee replacement surgery nine months ago, sought to extend his quality of life through the procedure. The surgery was performed by Dr. Kevin Riche, a Harvard-trained orthopedic surgeon in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Riche specializes in hip and knee replacement at the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic. Moreau’s decision to undergo the surgery followed five previous operations on the same joint area. His quality of life was compromised by arthritis and the cumulative effect of the prior surgeries…
