Former Alabama golfer Trey Mullinax has been suspended six months by the PGA Tour after testing positive for a banned substance, it was announced Wednesday.
The 34-year-old Mullinax, a Gardendale native, had played in just two Tour events this year, missing the cut at both the Houston Open in March and the Zurich Classic in New Orleans in April. He will be eligible to return to tournament play on Jan. 16.
