LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Only about half of the food-service workers laid off at the University of Kentucky following the end of its partnership with Aramark have been rehired under the school’s new vendor arrangement, according to a report from the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Aramark ended its partnership with UK in May, resulting in layoffs for more than 900 employees. Those layoffs took effect June 30.
