Sioux Falls fraud suspect re-arrested for bond violation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– Benjamin Paul Wiener is back in custody after violating his bond conditions.

Wiener is currently being charged with 8 counts of wire fraud, 19 counts of money laundering, one count of bank fraud, and one count of aggravated identity theft.

According to the indictment, Wiener allegedly devised a fraud scheme to obtain money and digital currency from victims who invested with Wiener’s companies, saying he did so via wire transmissions, checks, transfers, and cryptocurrency.
