WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police are searching for a driver who crashed into a park area, striking and killing a woman in Northeast D.C. on Monday.
It all happened around 12:45 a.m. on July 27 at the intersection of Bladensburg Road and South Dakota Avenue, NE. D.C. police and medics were called to the area after the pedestrian had been run over by a car.
Once on the scene, police located 45-year-old Shana Battle near the park area with serious injuries. Medics pronounced her dead there.
