Woman accused of tearing down half of vacant apartment ceiling in Marietta

Sandra Voltaire, 37, of Griffin, is accused of destroying half the ceiling of a vacant apartment in a multi-unit residential property at 2135 Favor Road, Marietta on July 22 at 2:18 p.m., according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Voltaire was found sleeping on the floor in one of the bedrooms of the vacant unit by maintenance for the property. Police responded to the scene and arrested Voltaire. Maintenance conducted a sweep of the apartment and in the second bedroom found half of the ceiling on the floor and the other half still up but damaged. Trash and other items were scattered around the apartment. Maintenance said they would have to replace the ceiling, which would cost between $1,500 to $2,000, according to the warrant.
