Oakland Arrest Nets Suspect With Ghost Gun And ATF Warrant

A coordinated East Bay arrest ended with one suspect in custody, an active ATF warrant in the mix, and an alleged ghost gun and ammunition recovered from a residence. The operation involved Oakland police, U.S. Marshals and officers from the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department.

The East Bay Regional Park District Police Department said Wednesday that its H.E.A.T. officers assisted Oakland police and the U.S. Marshals Service in apprehending a suspect described as having an extensive assault history. According to EBRPD’s Facebook post, the suspect had an active warrant through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for firearm charges and was charged with robbery, criminal threats and brandishing a firearm.
