Illegal Alien With Prior DV Charges Chased Woman With Knife, Pulled Cop’s Gun Before Being Shot

Fairfax County, VA – Newly reviewed Fairfax County court records show the man shot by Fairfax County police during a domestic violence incident earlier this week had previously been charged with felony abduction, suffocation and assault before those cases were dismissed by prosecutors.

According to Virginia court records, Nehemia Fuentes Banegas was charged following an April 10 incident with felony abduction by force or intimidation, misdemeanor suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery involving a family member.

Previous charges were not prosecuted

Court records indicate the cases were filed April 13 and scheduled for hearings in Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.

The online docket reflects dispositions of nolle prosequi, meaning prosecutors declined to pursue the charges. A nolle prosequi is not a finding of innocence or guilt but ends the prosecution unless charges are later refiled…
