When the clock strikes noon Aug. 1, the castle gates will open and squires, princesses and mythical creatures will all rush through, ready to spend a day watching royal spectacle outdoors and only leaving to grab the next cold ale from the tavern.
That’s right, it’s the second annual King Ralph’s Renaissance Faire, which will take over Ralph’s Rock Diner long into the night, to bring delightfully historically inaccurate entertainment to the townspeople of the Worcester realm.
“I think the people of Worcester really go gaga for a renaissance faire,” said organizer Ryan McArdle, who put together the first King Ralph’s festival last year. “What blew me away was that everyone really went all in on it right away. Everyone came down in costumes, everyone was acting in character, and everyone was having a good time.”…
