Texas Wesleyan University has launched a new bachelor’s degree program aimed at helping working adults earn a four-year degree by receiving credit for prior learning, work experience and professional certifications.
The new Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) program is designed to reduce both the time and cost required to complete a bachelor’s degree. According to the university, students can transfer up to 60 credit hours from an Associate of Applied Science degree and receive up to 15 additional credit hours for Certified Professional Licenses credentials. With those credits applied, students may complete the degree in about three semesters.
