Community members question Entergy Arkansas’ proposed rate increases at public hearing

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Community members voiced concerns Wednesday night over Entergy Arkansas’ latest request to raise electric rates, urging the Arkansas Public Service Commission to consider the financial burden on customers before approving the proposal.

The public hearing allowed residents to address regulators directly as they review the utility’s latest rate request.

Several speakers said they understand infrastructure improvements may be necessary but questioned whether Arkansas families can afford another increase.
