Teen boy dies after vehicle flips, crashes into fence in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A teen boy has died after his vehicle rolled over and struck a fence along a busy north Phoenix road late Wednesday night.

Phoenix police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash near 9th Street and Cave Creek Road around 10 p.m. Emergency crews arrived and found a white Toyota Tundra upside down, with the driver still inside. The driver, identified as Jordan Blas, 17, died at the scene.

Video from the scene shows the Tundra that rolled upside down and landed on a nearby fence. Bits of the fence were bent from the crash impact.

Investigators say Blas was driving southbound along Cave Creek Road when he lost control and struck a raised curb, causing his vehicle to flip. The Tundra then crashed into a fence and landed upside down…
