New restaurant ‘brings Thai culture’ to Hudsonville area

JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A West Michigan resident who grew up in Thailand has opened a new restaurant near Hudsonville, serving up a wide range of Thai and Asian fusion dishes.

Thai Landing is located at 3830 32nd Ave. near Quincy Street in Jamestown Township.

“I’ve been living in Jenison for more than 20 years. And every time when I’m craving Thai food or something, I have to drive to the other side of the town,” owner Sawalee Taylor told News 8. “And I feel like here, we need to bring Thai culture.”

Taylor was born in Si Racha, Thailand — the town that gave birth to Sriracha, the famous chili sauce.

“I’ve been cooking since 6 years old,” Taylor said. “I have to wake up and do the cooking with my mom.”…
