KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A multi-hour standoff ended peacefully Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas, after a man with an arrest warrant climbed down from the roof of an apartment building, officials said.
Kansas City, Kansas, Police said just before 11 a.m., the department’s Special Operations Unit attempted to execute a felony arrest warrant out of Johnson County.
Police said the suspect evaded a traffic stop and was found a short time later on the roof of an apartment building at 5th and Washington Blvd, officials said. Police said he was unarmed.
