Credit card skimming suspects arrested in San Antonio part of ‘transnational organized crime group’

Three men accused of installing credit card skimmers across West Texas were arrested on San Antonio’s Northeast Side and are suspected of being part of a “large transnational organized crime group,” according to state officials.

Sebastian Ionut Stefan Bratu, Francesco Matei and Iosiv-Roberto Curea were arrested July 16 in the 2300 Block of Austin Highway, according to a Tuesday news release from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
