New Mexico National Guard hosts Costa Rican Law Enforcement delegation

SANTA FE, N.M. – The New Mexico National Guard hosted an 11-member delegation from Costa Rica this week as part of the ongoing State Partnership Program’s relationship between New Mexico and Costa Rica.

This visit was facilitated by the office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

On Monday, the Costa Ricans visited the Albuquerque Police Department’s Headquarters, Academy, and Real Time Crime Center.

The delegation arrived at the NMNG’s LTG Edward D. Baca Headquarters Building in Santa Fe on Tuesday morning. They visited the Joint Operations Center, where they were briefed by 1st Sgt. Vincent Salazar and 1st Sgt. Angelo Lovato on how the NMNG responds to State Active Duty missions following activation by the governor.
