BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 20-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly led deputies on a pursuit in east Bakersfield and crashed in a parking lot Wednesday night, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 11 p.m. July 29, a deputy reportedly saw a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. A short traffic pursuit took place on Niles Street near Sterling Road when the vehicle didn’t stop, KCSO said.

The pursuit was canceled due to unsafe driving, according to officials.
