AVL Sounds Fest will bring four days of live music to downtown Asheville from Thursday, Aug. 6, through Sunday, Aug. 9. The ticketed festival, formerly known as AVL Fest, will spread performances across concert halls, clubs and outdoor venues rather than using a single festival ground.
Organizers describe a cross-genre lineup built around local, regional and national performers. More than 200 shows are planned at over 15 venues, giving ticket holders multiple options throughout the four-day schedule and placing an emphasis on discovering artists in smaller rooms as well as larger spaces.
