OHIO — After enjoying sunshine, dry conditions, and low humidity, we’ve got some changes in the forecast just in time for the weekend.
An area of low pressure will impact the Buckeye State from Saturday through Monday. Rain will develop from west to east on Saturday. Right now, the timing of the onset of the rain has slowed down. We could see some rain early in the day Saturday, but the best chance for rain will come during the afternoon and evening.
Showers and isolated storms will continue overnight and into Sunday.
There is a risk for a few stronger storms on Saturday across the southwest. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted the area with a Level 1 out of 5 severe risk. The biggest threats will be damaging winds and heavy rainfall. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out as well. Stronger storms will also be possible across eastern Ohio on Sunday.
The main concern with this weekend’s weather will be the heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding. 1-2 inches inches of rain will be possible through early Monday morning…
