SAN JOSE — Goodwill of Silicon Valley has signed a lease for a new San Jose store in a deal that enables the nonprofit to expand in that area and fills a space that became vacant due to the demise of a once-mighty nationwide retailer.
The nonprofit has leased a former Rite-Aid store at 1029 East Capitol Expressway, according to documents on file with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
“We are always looking for larger store footprints to replace our smaller stores, as well as store locations that allow us to also process donations,” Goodwill of Silicon Valley chief executive officer Christopher Baker said. “This store fits that criteria.”…
