WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Park City has approved rezoning and a new duplex development, joining a growing list of Wichita-area suburbs addressing housing demand through duplex regulations. Derby and Goddard approved similar regulations this year, and the city of Maize is also considering them.
Neighbor concerns
The approved development is located just north of 53rd Street North, east on Hydraulic. Lange Real Estate is behind the project. The station did not receive a response from Lange.
Beth Coulson, who has lived in Park City since 2014, said past rezoning efforts in the city have not gone well.
“Every time they’ve tried to rezone something, it’s been a disaster,” Coulson said. “They wanted to turn all of those into duplexes.”…
