Personnel from Xcel Energy were working in Superior’s Sagamore area on repairs after a gas leak Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the company.
The gas leak late Wednesday afternoon was caused by a third-party contractor hitting a gas line while working in the area, according to a statement from Lisa Andersen, a spokesperson for Xcel. The area is in northern Superior off 76th Street.
