(WRGB) — Heavy rain and historic flooding across the Capital Region over the past 24 hours have left many neighborhoods underwater, causing severe and often hidden damage to local homes.
While flooded streets and submerged yards are highly visible, experts warn that some of the most catastrophic damage is happening below the surface as floodwaters exert immense pressure on home foundations.
