A man was killed Thursday night after the pickup truck he was driving overturned and crashed into two vehicles stopped at a traffic light in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police.
At approximately 9:53 p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to the intersection of University Boulevard East and Colesville Road for a reported three-vehicle collision.
The preliminary investigation indicates a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on University Boulevard East when, for reasons still under investigation, it struck a guardrail, curb, two trees and a utility pole along the left side of the roadway.
