GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office reported that Flock cameras assisted deputies in rescuing a mother and son from a scary situation on Sunday.
Deputies said that the two victims were being held against their will in a moving truck heading north out of state. The driver, an enraged boyfriend, threatened to harm them both after an argument seemed to trigger further abusive behavior. While driving, the boyfriend reportedly assaulted the mother, causing visible injuries. In fear for her and her child’s life, the mother called 911.
Officials said that with the assistance of Flock, deputies were able to find the vehicle. Coordinated efforts began with authorities in North Carolina and Tennessee to intercept the suspect’s vehicle.
