PLAINWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — Friday marks the last day of operations for MI Grounds, an eatery and play cafe in downtown Plainwell.
The cafe, located at 124 E. Bridge St. near Main Street, opened nearly three years ago. Its menu featured specialty coffees, paninis and salads.

Owner Rae Barlow announced her “incredibly difficult decision to close” in a social media post.
“This place has been so much more than a business to me. It has been a gathering place where friendships formed, little ones played, birthdays were celebrated, conversations were shared over coffee, and so many memories were made,” she wrote. “Watching your families grow has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.”…
