More than 16,000 of the 218,766 registered voters in Rutherford County had cast a ballot during the early voting period as of July 29 for the Aug. 6 elections, according to the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office.
“We are on pace to break our turnout record for an August election that was set in August 2018,” Rutherford County Administrator of Elections Alan Farley said last Thursday. “We had 42,878 votes cast in 2018.”
