A Summerfield woman was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after slurring her words and refusing to submit to a breath test.
An officer observed 52-year-old Laurie Webb turning a tan four-door sedan onto Southeast 107th Street at 2:30 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Belleview Police Department. The vehicle had no front or rear lights illuminated, and it traveled in the wrong lane for a short time.
Due to this, the officer conducted a traffic stop at Southeast 67th Avenue. Webb smelled of alcohol and spoke in a thick-tongued, slurred manner. She agreed to participate in field sobriety exercises, but she did not follow instructions and almost fell over, the report said.
