SUNFLOWER COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Sunflower County coroner said an Arkansas woman was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound in Indianola.
According to Sunflower County Coroner Heather Burton, she was dispatched to a call regarding a deceased person in the 800 block of Hanna Street in Indianola around 8:00 a.m. on July 30, 2026.

Burton said the victim, 33-year-old Tempess Lashelle Spivey, of Little Rock, Arkansas, suffered an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
