A week before Bossier Parish public school students return to classrooms, sheriff’s deputies are preparing for the 2026-27 academic year.
About 45 school resource officers — two for every high school and one for each of the remaining public schools — gathered with Bossier Sheriff’s Office patrol officers Thursday at Haughton High School to practice responding to active shooter scenarios.
