LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — This extreme heat isn’t going away anytime soon with heat alerts in place even for the Spring Mountains.
As temperatures soar to 110 degrees and above each day in Las Vegas, many people are heading up to Mt. Charleston to beat the heat like David Cheung. He’s a Las Vegas local but has never visited the mountain until today.

“It’s our first time, so we just took a tour around,” Cheung said. “It’s pretty nice but still a little bit hot. We just came from Tahoe, so it’s hotter than that.”
With a heat advisory in place for Mt. Charleston these next few days, afternoon highs are expected to hit the upper 80’s, but that’s still significantly cooler than Las Vegas…
