GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Drivers are being advised to seek an alternate route as the northbound lanes of US-131 remain closed at Hall Street following a crash involving up to 10 vehicles, including a jackknifed semi.
Officials shut down northbound US-131 lanes at Hall Street around 8:40 a.m. Saturday following a multi-vehicle crash near the Cherry Street/Downtown exit, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Cars are now being diverted off the freeway at Hall Street while crews work to clear the area. State police are encouraging drivers to avoid the area for now and exercise caution once the northbound lanes reopen later this morning.
