ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department responded to a large, disorderly crowd Friday evening on N Clinton Avenue near Upper Falls Boulevard at around 10:30 p.m. Throughout the next several hours of dispersing the crowds, officers saw multiple instances of violent and “riotous type” behavior.
Officers say when the dispersal of the crowds reached near Morrill Street, multiple gunshots were fired within the crowd. Riot control agents were deployed causing the crowd to disperse. Officers located a female on Morrill Street following the crowd dispersing. According to the RPD, she was shot at least one time in her upper body. She was declared deceased at the scene.
Officers continued to disperse disorderly crowds throughout the northeast section of the city over the next several hours. Officers say that during this time, gunshots were fired in multiple locations and at least two gunshot victims arrived at local hospitals. Their injuries are were not deemed life-threatening…
