West Virginia National Guardsmen quickly respond to fatal DC shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WOWK) — A group of West Virginia National Guardsmen (WVNG) stationed in Washington, D.C. were quick to provide assistance after a shooting killed one and critically injured another on Wednesday.

According to a release from the U.S. Army National Guard, a civilian pulled up to a fire station where WVNG leaders Sgt. John-David Delaney, Sgt. Thomas Jurkovitz and their team were changing over shifts and directed them to victims in need at Second Northwest Co-op Homes.
