Until recently, it was easy to overlook the inconspicuous spots showcasing South Asian cuisine. But this metro area, known mostly for the Research Triangle Park, and sandwiched between big schools in Durham and Chapel Hill, is one of the fastest growing in the United States.
Growing with it is a large South Asian population in Cary and Morrisville. Many came for academia and ultimately stayed for technology and tech-adjacent jobs in finance and biotech.
