A longtime Euclid tradition entered a new chapter Sunday as Martin’s Freeze celebrated its new ownership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held fittingly on National Ice Cream Day.
Martin’s Freeze has served generations of local families since Martin and Lillian first opened the ice cream shop in 1949. Seventy-seven years later, Amber (Miller) Solnosky and William “Wil” Solnosky Jr. have become the fifth owners of the Euclid landmark.
The July 19 ceremony brought together friends and family, community members and Martin’s Freeze employees to recognize the business’s history and celebrate its future. Euclid Councilman Wallace Tanner introduced the business and Amber before she addressed those gathered for the occasion…
