There’s good news for anyone looking for a place to live in South Florida: rental prices are coming down. The median asking rent in Miami was $2,277 in June, a 2.6% drop compared with 2025, according to a recent Rent Report.
The decline is happening in the middle of peak renting season—summer—when prices usually climb due to the rise in vacation rentals. And it’s not an isolated case: Miami is dropping faster than the national average, which fell 1.5% over the same period.
