DETROIT, MI – Mayor Mary Sheffield announced a new $9.2 million initiative Wednesday, July 29, aimed at helping hundreds of Detroit families transition from emergency shelters into permanent housing over the next three years.
The city’s new “Homeless to Housed” initiative will provide rental assistance, security deposits and intensive case management to help families experiencing homelessness secure and maintain stable housing.
