Crime Stoppers Renews Search For Houston Teen’s 2025 Killer

More than a year after 19-year-old Jaylon Fox was shot dead in Houston’s Third Ward, Crime Stoppers is again asking the question investigators still haven’t answered: Who killed him? The renewed appeal arrived Friday, with Fox’s family still waiting for the person responsible to be identified and charged. The shooting happened in broad daylight on Easter Sunday, making the case all the more jarring.

According to Crime Stoppers Houston, a passing motorist observed Fox stumbling while driving on April 20, 2025, before he collapsed moments later. Houston police investigators determined that Fox had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, the nonprofit said, and Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous tips that could lead to an arrest or charge.

HPD Released Photos, But Called Them Persons Of Interest

Houston police said officers found an unresponsive male in the street near 3102 Rosalie Street around 3:35 p.m., suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department’s update.

In July 2025, HPD identified the victim as Fox and released photos of two people it wanted to question. The department described them as persons of interest, not suspects, and asked anyone who recognized them or had information about the shooting to contact investigators…
