Roads in a southwest suburb of Chicago were severely flooded on Saturday after back-to-back days of heavy rainfall, and police warned drivers to “use extreme caution.”
In a post on social media around 10 a.m., Joliet police warned that “significant water is currently ponding on County Line Road between Walker Road and Clearwater Drive. With additional rainfall forecast throughout the day, this section of roadway could become impassable.”
They advised drivers to use “extreme caution” in the area, “remain alert to changing roadway conditions and consider an alternate route if necessary.”…
